The First Organization to Be Established by Returnees of the Learn and Earn Programme

Arava Nepal Modern-Agriculture Company Limited (ANMC) was the first public company to be established by returnees of the Israel Learn and Earn Programme, initiated through a partnership between Sana Kisan Bikas Bank Ltd. (SKBBL) and the Nepal-based Israel Embassy, in 2016. Their primary aim is to introduce advanced technologies in agricultural sectors, primarily to youth in order to increase Nepal’s agricultural production output. At the start, 74 youth were involved, 53 of which were returnees from the program, and 21 of which were NRNA Israel members.  Today, more than 120 members are involved in the organization.

ANMC offers a wide range of services related to the production, processing, manufacturing, supplying and retailing of agricultural commodities.

They also own 12.20 hectares of land, on which they have built three green houses.  They grow vegetables, have a poultry farm with more than 20,000 broilers, and engage in goat farming with more than 100 goats and pig farming with more than 50 pigs. They also have a milk processing centre, and a fish farm that’s 7,500 m2.  ANMC has become a symbol of inspiration for thousands of youth who see a future in agriculture.
